Stories that were not included in the animation and new characters make this book an exciting read for MSG and Codename fans. Kang Parang, your average 12-year-old boy who loves skateboarding and rap music comes across his mother’s secret diary by chance. From the diary, he discovers that his Mom was once a spy! As he continues to read the diary Kang Parang is suddenly transported to the past and meets Violet, his Mom, and even visits the world’s largest spy agency, MSG. There, he is given a mission as agent Codename X! But Codename R who isn’t very trusting towards Kang Parang puts him through a spy test. Kang Parang passes the test with flying colors, but he is soon given the impossible mission of retrieving a secret letter by the boss, Bull Dog. How will he make the mission a success?
In the bonus book, readers can find out what MSG, the world’s largest spy agency is about and its structure. Also included is a first impression test of the characters.
- About the Author
(English) Kang loves to doodle, daydream and goof around with his son, Parang. Kang began drawing as he drew comics and is now an author loved for all his work. The Codename series is a realization of Kang’s long imagined dream. Kang has illustrated for many story books and some of his own books include The unbelievable story, I’ll give you a flower, The snowstorm, The big fart, My Mom, Why x 100, etc. Kang received the Ragazzi award in the nonfiction category at the 2011 Bologna Children’s Book Fair for his work The unbelievable story.
