(Russian)
(English) Jaehoo's Choice
"This is a masterpiece that shows distinctions between what is written by a writer who is aware of the characteristics of short stories and what is not. This can be said to be the best short story of those that have been submitted in terms of the power of making people view the world from a new perspective through a cognitive shock and the power of leading people to reflect on the entire lifespan of humans and the truth of the world through a piece of life".
This blurb appeared in the review for this story when it was awarded the grand prize at the 17th Munhakdongne Awards for Children's Literature. The writer reads the gaps of the world through the eyes of small beings and finds the important things that have fallen between those gaps. Readers can witness scenes in which the choices made by the seemingly weakest being that are considered unable to choose anything save the hearts of other beings that are intimidated and hurt. Each story freely unfolds with various writing techniques that look as if drifting in the wide universe. Readers will feel as though they are riding a roller coaster created by the unique writing skills of Kim Taeho and experience a clear view as if the fog from in front of them has lifted when they close the book.
