A Song to My Daughter is a song by Yoo Hee-yeol that was released a year after the birth of his daughter. A musician, who is loved by the Korean public for his ever steady artistic sensibility, sings it in a tranquil and warm voice, thereby conveying the fondness of a father for his child. The lyrics have become part of an illustrated book.
This song was actually written for my wife. I dedicate it to all the mothers who is experiencing motherhood for the first time. _Yoo Hee-yeol
I realized I was invited to a whole new world, laughing and crying because of my child. To my own mother, I must have also been a shining beautiful world. _Cheon Yoo-ju
Dad, who has come back home after a long day, looks at his baby asleep under the nocturnal stars and reflects on the passage of time. The smile of his wife as she shopped for the tiny shoes for the baby’s first walk in the spring, the feel of the newborn’s miniscule fingers in his hand on the day she was born, his wife and daughter waving at him from the window of their apartment—all these memories brighten the heart of a dad when he is weary from life. And dad implores his child. When future days ahead of her get rough for her, she should remember dad and mom—that how precious she is to them both. A Song to My Daughter is an earnest message of love and celebration for a new miracle that has joined their world.
Changbi Publishing will publish the "Changbi Illustrated Book of Lyrics Series" which will combine beautifully written lyrics of Korean songs illustrated with drawings. Diverse members of the family with different generations can read and enjoy the book.
The rights to the lyrics of this song is managed by the Copyright Management Bureau Documentation.

Yoo Hee-yeol
For twenty-eight years, Yoo Hee-yeol has been active as a musician. He also was a late night radio DJ and currently works as a broadcaster. Starting with the radio program, "Yoo Hee-yeol’s FM Music City" of the late nineties to the T.V. music talk show, "Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook," he has been the nocturnal MC. He was recently persuaded by the production team to appear in "Let's Take a Walk at Night" on Kakao TV program and explored all corners of Seoul for four months, putting to use his typically astute observation and specialized nocturnal sensitivity gained from his long experience as a nighttime DJ. He has always enjoyed strolling at night but as he took a walk on the many routes that the team had picked out for him, he was able to see much beauty that the city of Seoul had to offer, of which he didn't know about.
