Overview

This book tells the unrequited love story of Yi Jin, the woman who records the soul and Yi Hyeon, the man who loves her

Book Intro

The book begins with the voice of Yi Jin who accepts as her calling, chronicling the soulful stories of ordinary people. Then there is Yi Hyeon, with a promising job of an elite government position at the Ministry of Finance and Economy who falls in love with her. He sees in Yi Jin the visage of a woman who shook his whole being as a child. As fate will have it, he is irrevocably drawn to her. “Yi Jin’s chronicle,” which is interjected between their narratives, serves as a separate independent story and at the same time that overlaps with the main plot as the novel progresses.
