Kang Jae-woon worked for eight years at Korea’s largest electronics company, Hwansung Electronics, then stayed on another seven after he was forced out to the subsidiary Hwansung Display. However, when his old friends Yu Gwang-in and Oh Jung-gi betray him, Kang becomes falsely accused of technology theft and is thrown into jail. His life is ruined. One day, however, his luck changes when he stumbles upon a mysterious payphone card. When he pushes the card into a public payphone, it connects to the shop of a Time Seller. Kang purchases some time so he can return to the past. In the process, he goes into massive debt. In order to pay off this debt, he throws himself into a new business. Every month, he pays off his debt through the payphone. Sometimes, he's given random gifts in exchange. These gifts connect Kang to people with special powers. Through these gifts, he establishes relationships with various influential people, including the commissioner of the Korean Fair Trade Commission. Kang aces his college entrance exams and enters Seoul National University, where he uses his knowledge of the future to build a CPU. This CPU is sold to the company Aple?? in the US, which makes him famous. People begin fighting over Kang. Using the proceeds from the sale of the CPU, Kang purchases the LCD business of Kowon?? Electronics and uses his knowledge of future display technology to develop his company.
