How do we create the knowledge we need? We question the “knowledge” surrounding the body at the very forefront of knowledge itself.
- Book Intro
-
This is a book based on a review of more than 1,120 dissertations and 300 works of literature. It transcends time and space and captures the competition of knowledge and the struggle of intellectuals surrounding us at the very forefront of knowledge itself. As the author states, "The human body is a battlefield where various perspectives compete." This book deals with this idea that our body has become a battlefield of knowledge. It describes the production process for knowledge surrounding the body, which types of knowledge are or are not produced, who produces certain knowledge, and why we need to ask questions about what is referred to as common sense, all in order to build the knowledge we really need.
