Le désir et la vie de Truong, un immigré qui ne pourrait jamais devenir coréen.

Truong, une Vietnamienne qui vit dans son village rural coréen, a épousé Kim Jong-tae, qu'elle a rencontré dans une agence internationale de mariage. Contrairement à son mariage imaginé, le conflit avec sa belle-mère grandit de jour en jour, et son mari fait semblant d'ignorer la discorde entre sa belle-mère et lui. D'autres étrangers à la campagne, le romancier Lee Ryeong et le critique littéraire Jang Gyu-wan, quittent la ville et vivent dans une maison blanche, mais sortent rarement. Truong, a young and healthy Vietnamese woman with dark brown eyes and dark skin, lives in a rural village in Korea with a man she married with the help of an international marriage agency. An arson incident occurs in the quiet village. It's Truong's house. The incident occurs while Truong is not home, and her mother-in-law dies in the fire. The husband believes that Truong is the arsonist. Since the incident, her husband has stopped working and spends his days living as a drunkard.
