Suji was in a car, going on a family trip. Then, a car accident happened, which took away the car’s wheel and Suji’s legs. Every day, Suji goes out to the veranda and looks down. People only look ahead as they walk on the street. Suji thinks the people’s black heads are like ants. Down on the street, children play with their dogs and umbrellas march on rainy days. Suji quietly watches the scene below. One day, Suji shouts loudly, but only in her heart. “I’m right here. Anybody… Please look up!” As if he hears her voice, a kid raises his head and looks up at her. What will happen in Suji’s world now?
Look up is a picture book that helps the readers realize the importance of a harmonious life. How about turning your eyes away from where you always look and look up, down and sideways to meet new scenes around you? The scenery around you right now depends on you.
