Sung-ju’s parents were fed up with the floor noise by their neighbors and decided to move to a new apartment. It was neat and spacious at a cheaper price, and most of all, it is noise-free! The family signed up the residential contract agreeing that they shall make noise only at the “noise-discharge time” three times a day. This rule sounds a perfect solution for Sung-ju’s family who seeks for ‘peace and quiet’ indeed. Soon, they realize the rule is very hard to keep and their new apartment is not an ordinary place for ordinary people.... The Noise-Collecting Apartment deals with "floor noise" at an apartment where various kinds of neighbors reside. The communal problems such as rubbish, noise, car parking are the current issues in many cities. Readers can relate the story to their daily lives and think about how we can solve these problems without hating each other.

Apakah kalian pernah tidak bisa tidur karena suara berisik dari lantai atas yang semua gerakan terasa nyata dan suara kaki yang menggetarkan jantungmu? Karena berisik sampai beberapa kali menelpon dengan interphone bahkan sampai lantai di bawah juga. Kalau kalian pernah tinggal di apartemen, pasti siapapun satu kali pernah mengalami suara berisik antar lantai ..nah cerita itu diangkat dalam dunia fantasi dan diberi judul "apartemen yang mengumpulkan keributan".

現代社会の中でアパート騒音問題はもう他人事ではありません。『騒音を集めるアパート』は、主人公ソンジュの家をめぐるアパートの騒音に関する物語です。アパートの騒音に疲れたソンジュの家族は騒音排出時間外には騒音の心配なしで静かだという「The静かなアパート」に入城してから不思議で新しい生活を始めることになります。疲れ果ててしまった騒音から脱出するために始まった「The静かなアパート」生活と思いもよらない事件を経て、ソンジュの家族ははじめて大事なことが何かに気づきます。「隣人に対する気配り」がアパートの騒音を解決できる小さな種であることを知ります。この作品を通して、隣人に対する怒りと仕返しの代わりに、お互いを尊重し、配慮する心を持つようになるでしょう。

(English) After receiving the Saebom Literature Award, she became a fairy tale writer and won the script competition at the Chuncheon Puppet Festival. Her major works include original fairy tales such as "The Apartment Collecting Noise," "Adolescence vs. Menopause," "Adolescence vs. Dad's Menopause," "The Ghost in the Group Chat," "Family in the Group Chat," "I Want to See the Unseen," and "The Nagging Center," as well as picture books such as "The Dancing Towel" and "Counting Eyebrows Day."
(Japanese) セボッ文学賞を受賞して童話作家になり、春川人形劇祭台本公募展で受賞しました。主な作品に、創作童話『思春期対更年期』、『思春期対パパ更年期』、『グループトークルームの幽霊』、『グループトークルームの家族』、『見なかった目買います』、『小言センター』などがあり、絵本に『踊るタオル』、『眉毛を数える日』などがあります。
