Overview

This book introduces a series of stories featuring twin rabbits, Dam and Gom, who just entered school. It delivers is a heartwarming message of encouragement, telling children who are just starting their school life that "every one makes mistakes at first."

Book Intro

The twin rabbits, Dam and Gom, receive an assignment to write a 'diary' for the first time in their lives. The twins, who don't know why they need to write a diary or what to include in it, are confused by their mother's advice of write down what they experienced and felt during the day. They have the rather smart idea that they don't need to write anything if nothing happens, but nevertheless, interesting and special things continue to happen.

About the Author

Jeong Shin

Jeong Shin (F) spends hectic days writing books and raising two lovely kinds. Jeong once dreamed of becoming a translator, then a jazz pianist, and then an editor, and later became a writer of children's books. She won the 2014 Spring Literary Award by Hankook Ilbo with A Perfect Day, which was highly regarded for its "great structure of subtle, humorous conversations that explore deep inside the minds of children." She continues to write stories that challenge the world with child-like wisdom and liveliness.

I am a professional illustrator, working under the penname OkayTina. Works that I both wrote and illustrated include To All Mismatched Socks in the World; I’m Really Going to Sleep Alone; Tina’s Socks; Tina and Cloud Candy; and Aha! Discovery and Empathy in Action: Seeing Through New Eyes!, a pictorial guide for the Children’s Museum at the National Museum of Korea. I also illustrated The Perfect Day to Write in My Diary; I’m Off to School; and A Picturesque Day. My pictures have been published to France, Japan, Taiwan, and Italy.
