Cookie's House tells the moving story of a short-tongued chameleon, a mute woodpecker and a child born with a disability due to a mistake by a giant in the sky. With help from the giant, the child, the chameleon and the woodpecker learn to bake and sell cookies to become self-reliant. Gang Mu-ji, the author, says that she was inspired to write this story after witnessing a family of disabled and non-disabled persons living together in a community of disabled persons in Daeyeon-dong, Busan.
