DITHARAMB

*The mechanic ark to save humankind**

In the near future, humans face a severe food shortage due to climate change and powerlessly wait for their demise. One day, a visionary developer creates a perfect virtual world called Ditharamb. In response to the pressing issue of food shortages, humanity initiated Project Ditharamb, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to address the problem by preserving the body and transferring the mind to Ditharamb. The project is designed to provide a temporary solution while scientists figure out a solution to climate change. 

*A fierce battle in paradise **

Minhyeok’s access to Ditharamb is disapproved. He attempts to steal food with his coworker and gets caught by his boss, who suggests that he will not raise any issues on one condition. Minhyeok has no option but to break into Ditharamb despite the consequences. In the virtual universe, where all communications with the outside world have been severed, Minhyeok is captured by a number of men and is forced to play the horrible game of “kill or die” in the middle of an amphitheater. 

*Something’s definitely wrong with this world**

Minhyeok manages to survive and escape Ditharamb. But what he saw and experienced continued to torture him. So, he attempts to pull people out of the world in order to help them and learn more about it, using his body as the medium. Unlike the light beginning, the more he proceeds with his plan, and the more he learns about Ditharamb, the more he realizes that something’s definitely wrong with the seemingly perfect world. 

*인류를 구원하기 위해 나타난 기계 방주**

가까운 미래, 인류는 기후 위기에 따른 심각한 식량난을 맞닥뜨리고, 그저 멸망만을 기다리는 신세로 전락한다. 그러던 어느 날, 천재 개발자에 의해 완벽하게 구현된 가상 세계 ‘디타람브’가 개발되고, 인류는 기후 위기를 해결할 방법을 찾을 동안 육체는 보존하고 정신만 디타람브에 옮겨 식량난을 해결하는 ‘디타람브 프로젝트’를 진행한다. 

*낙원에서 펼쳐지는 잔혹한 싸움**

부적합 판정으로 디타람브에 들어갈 수 없는 민혁은 동료와 식량을 빼돌리다 상사에게 들키게 되고, 부탁을 들어 주면 눈감아주겠다는 협박에 못 이겨 부작용에도 불구하고 디타람브에 침입한다. 안과 밖이 소통할 수 없는 디타람브 속 세상, 민혁은 그곳에서 의문의 사내들에게 붙잡히고, 원형 경기장 한가운데서 서로를 죽고 죽이는 끔찍한 게임에 참가하게 된다.

*이 세상은 분명 무언가 잘못됐다**

가까스로 살아 돌아온 민혁, 그러나 디타람브에서 보고 겪은 것들이 자꾸 그를 괴롭힌다. 민혁은 디타람브에 대해 더 알아가고자, 그리고 그 안의 사람들을 돕고자 자신의 몸을 매개로 삼아 디타람브 속 사람들을 끄집어내려 한다. 그러나 가볍게 시작했던 처음과 달리, 그 일을 하면 할수록, 그리고 디타람브에 관해 하나둘 알아가면서 민혁은 완벽하게만 보였던 디타람브가 무언가 단단히 잘못됐음을 깨닫는다.
