Barista detective MA Hwan teams up with a century-old coffee-loving spirit to solve mysteries in the neighbourhood. This time, he is tasked to undercover the mystery behind the Pyeongsaengdo by a Joseon dynasty slave, said to contain the man’s unfulfilled regrets and powerful yearning for a good life for his deceased son. The series of 12 paintings, rumoured to bless the owner with riches and longevity, is scattered and lost in modern day.
