There have been many institutions and associations that have been working hard for the development of the animal assistance field, but it was hard to find out about specific examples of programs without being a member of those groups. Due to these issues, popularization of the animal assistance field couldn’t be attained, a problem that’s haunted the pet animal industry for a long time. This book was started from this awareness of the problem, with 50 kinds of programs easily understood by the general public were selected and organized for easy use.

I yearn for a society of coexistence where pet owners and non-pet owners can unite in being happy through animals while supporting and encouraging each other. As these are programs that were created, I believe that the readers and animal therapists who use these programs will love their value. Moving forward, we strive for more advanced animal assistance therapies. The Association of Korean Companion Animal Assisted Therapy and our animal friends will do their best together as you give encouragement and support along the way.

그동안 많은 기관과 협회가 동물매개분야의 발전을 위해 힘썼으나 그 구체적인 내용을 알기에는 어려움이 있었다. 이 책은 이러한 문제의식에서 시작되었고 일반 대중이 쉽게 접근할 수 있게 50개의 프로그램을 선정, 활용할 수 있게 구성했다. 이 프로그램을 통해 반려인과 비반려인이 모두 행복할 수 있는 공존의 사회가 되길 바라는 마음으로 책을 만들었다.
