(Japanese) 大学で応用動物科学科を専攻しましたたが、専攻よりも名画を真似て描くなど、絵に対する関心が高かったです。放送作家として10年以上働き、この時の経験のおかげなのか絵本作家の道に入った後も徹底した資料収集で絵本を構成します。
『ママ図鑑』は、作家が子供を産み、何の準備もなく迎えた子育ての時間、すべてが初めての瞬間を全身で受け止めながらずっと構想していた話です。
