This is a story about six children facing off to become the one to raise a dog. The children intend to decide who will raise the dog through three different contests. The children practice hard to win their matches, and they suggest games advantageous to themselves. But why do these kids want to raise this dog? It’s not an easy dog to raise, it isn’t very healthy, it’s not good looking, and the family does not support this. Through these contests, the children learn a hidden secret about the dog, and also learn what it really means to raise a living thing, and to be responsible for another life. And the friendship of children become more mature.
