(English) What is a Selfie!
Anybody who has an office job will be able to relate to the story. The book also offers a chance to understand dads out there. What Is a Selfie? is about a dad who seeks some time alone through his search for a place to take a selfie. Anyone who has a 9-to-5 job can relate to wanting quality time alone after a week of work. The book also makes readers think about how to maintain a sense of self while living within a bigger community.

“Un, deux, trois, Clic ! Je veux être moi-même, même pour ce moment !” L'ère des selfies pour tout le monde, des enfants aux adultes. Le livre basé sur la “Selfie” montre le conflit entre le désir d'exprimer le soi que l’on veut et le besoin de coexister avec les autres.

月火水木金、通勤地獄に会社に苦しめられるおじさんは週末だけを心待ちにしている。ついに土曜日！この日だけは何でも自分のやりたいようにしたいが、家族は全く協力的じゃない。
おじさんは完璧な自撮りを撮るために家の外に出るが、外の状況も手強い。自撮りを邪魔する人たちを避けて高い山の頂上にまで行ったおじさんは、ついに自撮りを撮るのだが…。
誰でも一度は撮ったことのある「自撮り」を、一人の時間を求める現代人の欲求を捉え、ともに生きていく人生について考えさせてくれる絵本。

Im Yunmi
(English) Born and raised in Seoul, illustrator Im Yunmi earned her B.A. in ceramics from Kookmin University, and her M.A. in illustration from Kookmin University Graduate School of Design. She is currently a teacher who creates stories and illustrations with children. She wrote and illustrated Are Selfies THAT Important?
(French) Elle suit des études en céramique, puis est diplômée de master en illustration à l’Université kookmin. Elle a publié Qu'est-ce qui est selfie ? et illustré les albums tels que C’est juste 10 centimes, On vous apprend notre langue.
(Japanese) 国民大学で陶磁工芸、国民大学デザイン大学院でイラストレーションを専攻した。絵と文を書いた本に 『自撮りが何だ！』、『たかが100ウォンだって？』、『私たちの言葉を教えます』がある。
