Book Intro

The authors of this book visited Napal for the first time in 2011 and have been keeping their connection with the country till today. In this book, they are sharing stories about the people living in that country along with the nature, customs, and traditions of Nepal. In this collection of 14 essays, the authors shares stories about innocent people and their simple lives that harmonize with nature that enfolds the mystery of ancient times, and these Nepalese people are from villages including Chitre, a remote village that is fronted by Annapurna as well as Pokhara, Ghandruk, Manakamana, Chitwan, Sindhupalchok, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu. This book will inspire readers to reflect on themselves and think about the things that they've lost while reading stories about Nepalese people who are enjoying their times that pass slowly along with Mother Nature.

About the Author

Park Hyesun



(English) Park Hye-seon made her literary debut in 1992 when her children’s poem won the Saebeot Literary Award, and in 2003, her short story The House of Shadows won the 2nd Blue Literature Award.

She has published numerous collections of children’s poetry and fairy tales. She received the 1st Pencil Poetry Literary Award and the 15th Korean Children’s Literature Award as well as the Socheon Children’s Literature Award and the Open Children’s Literature Award. Her children’s poems “Father’s Bag” and “Broken Mirror” have been published in elementary and middle school textbooks.

 

(Japanese) 1992年に児童詩でセボッ文学賞、2003年に短編童話『影が住む家』で(が)プルン文学賞を受賞。

多数の児童詩集と童話を発表し、第1回鉛筆詩文学賞、第15回韓国児童文学賞、ソチョン児童文学賞、開かれた児童文学賞を受賞(した)。児童詩『お父さんのかばん』、『割れた鏡』が小中学校の教科書に掲載された。

 

(French) Après avoir fait ses débuts avec sa poésie et son conte dans une revue littéraire pour enfants en 1992, elle publie de nombreux livres pour enfants. Elle est lauréate de nombreux prix prestigieux dédiés à la littérature jeunesse, tel que prix Socheon de Littérature de Jeunesse.
