‘Oh my…… Ink was spilled on the white clouds.’ As someone says these vague words to herself, it rains heavily starting from early morning. Is it because he had to go to school in such heavy rainfall? Hoho's mother receives a call while she is at work that Hoho left school early because of a high fever. It is difficult for Hoho's mother to leave work early so she becomes very worried and starts to make phone calls. However, it is difficult for her to actually reach someone. Maybe it is because of the rain.
How long has Hoho's mother been making calls, growing impatient? Finally, someone answers and Hoho's mother hears a very indistinct “Hello?” “Hello? Mom?” Sensing urgency in the voice of Hoho's mother, the other person on the phone answers, "Um... Yes?" It seems like the person is bewildered. However, Hoho's mother firmly believes that the other person is her mother and asks her mother to take care of Hoho before hanging up.
Is the person who answered the phone actually Hoho's grandmother? The person's silhouette itself is too out of the ordinary to deem that it belongs to a grandmother. ‘The child is sick so I have no choice. It is kind of strange, but I'll have to be the child's mother.’ This person readily goes to Hoho's house…… It is not a person but a fairy! She looks like she could easily be the youngest sister of The Bath Fairy. Will the strange mom, who is the fairy, be able to take care of Hoho instead of Hoho's mother for a day?

Baek Heena
(English) Baek Heena majored in Educational Technology at Ewha Womans University and studied animation at Cal Arts. Based on various experiences in the field of animation production, Baek writes picture books distinguished by their unique characters and attractive storytelling. For one of her books, Cloud Bread, Baek Heena was named “Writer of the Year” in the Fiction category at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2005. The Bath Fairy won the Korean Publishing Culture Award and the Changwon Children Literature Award in 2012 and 2013 respectively. Also, Magic Candies was listed on the IBBY Honour List in 2017. The books written and illustrated by Baek also include The Strange Visitor, Strange Mom, and Moon Sherbet. Magic Candies was nominated in IBBY Honour List of International Board on Books for Young People and awarded 'The 11th MOE Picture Book Store Grand Prize' with 'あめだま, Japanese name of Magic Candies' in 2018. She was awarded the Excellence Prize in Translation Picture book section in School Libraries Association of Japan in 2019. And was given the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award which is considered the Nobel Prize of Children books, presenting her name to the world.
(French) Elle est née en 1971 à Séoul, a étudié les sciences d'éducation à l'université des femmes d'Ihwa et l'animation à l'école d'art California. Elle a commencé à se faire un nom lorsqu'elle a été nommée "écrivain de l'année pour la fiction" pour son livre "Pain de ciel" à l'exposition d'enfant internationale de Bologne en 2005. Aussi, elle a gagné le cinquième trois prix de culture d'édition coréen avec son livre "Madame Fée d'un bain de longue vie". En 2020, elle a redoré le livre illustré coréen comme elle a gagné un prix de souvenir respectueux d'Astrid Lindgren qui est nommé le prix Nobel de livre d'enfant.
