Pernah kuliah di Universitas Transportasi Nasional Korea namun tidak dilanjutkan. memulai karir dengan mendapatkan penghargaan Rookie of the Year untuk kategori sastra triwulanan dan cerita budaya pendek. Pada 2009, menerbitkan catatan observasi harian.
