“What is the reason we must endure and live on in the midst of exhaustion, mundane life, sadness, and anxiety?”

This book contains writings that help people live their daily lives and protect themselves. It explores the weight of life found in art and philosophy, the love of reading and writing, the value of persevering through pain and anxiety, and the meaning of living with others. Through the author's solid reasoning and fresh perspective, readers can discover the meaning of life in the places where they have wavered and struggled. Life's meaning can exist in the places where we stumble and worry. The book encourages those who live with anxiety and struggle but still live faithfully, reminding them that the future can become the present.

Lee Kookhwan

(English) Lee, a professor of Korean literature at Dong-A University, teaches students how to read and write. Before meeting his wife, he learned about the world through books, and after meeting her, he learned through people. He enjoys being alone and finds happiness through books, movies, and music. Fortunately, one of his essays was included in a middle school Korean language textbook, which made him both proud and embarrassed. He recommended and introduced books to people through the television program "It's a Book Again" and the radio program "Lee Kuk-hwan's Morning Reading." He has been selected as Dong-A University's best lecturer several times and wants to continue reading and writing for the rest of his life.
