(English) A Remarkable Family

This book features a family with strong personalities. Every member has a unique power. Mighty dad, mom who is good at everything, the boxer big brother, the dancer big sister, and the painter second-oldest brother. However, what makes each family member remarkable sometimes causes inconvenience for other family members. The mighty dad snores very loudly, the undefeated boxer big brother never gives in to family members, the dancer big sister dances elegantly but shakes the entire house with her physical presence, and the second brother paints all over the house.

Each family member decides to separate from the others and live alone. They are too different to get along together. However, it turns out that living by themselves is not very fun. They have no one to share their greatness with and they become bored because there is no one to listen to them boasting and no one to bother. 

Then something very insignificant happens. The youngest brother, a little boy, farted when he was left alone. The family gathered together out of concern for their youngest brother. This incident causes the family to reconcile and now they can laugh together again.

Resolving family disputes doesn't require anything significant. The walls built up between family members will melt like snow with only a few simple heartfelt words, or a sincere act. That is the power of family.

The family finally realizes that they are remarkable only because all the family members recognize and accept it. The reunited family decides to live together again. Each family member's greatness will cause inconvenience to others, but they now know that they are only truly great if they respect and accept one another. The story is thus an expression of the writer's aspiration for a family that lives together, overcomes their differences, and accepts and respects each other's individuality.

この本には個性の強い家族が登場します。力の強いお父さん、何でもテキパキこなすお母さん、無敵のボクサーの長男、ダンスが上手な長女、絵が得意な次男までそれぞれ偉大な能力の持ち主です。お互いあまりにも違うせいで居心地の悪さを感じた家族は、別々に暮らすことにします。しかし、あまり幸せではありませんでした。自分が偉大なのは、それを認めて受け入れてくれる家族がいるからだということに気づきます。家族間のいざこざを解消するのに何か壮大なイベントが必要なわけではありません。温かい一言、心のこもった行動ひとつで雪のように溶けていきます。それが家族の持つ偉大なパワーなのです。

この本は、お互いを尊重しながらともに生きていく家族が持つ偉大さを伝えています。

(Vietnamese) Gia đình vĩ đại

Nhà tớ có 6 người: bố, mẹ, anh cả, chị hai, anh ba và tớ. Bố tớ rất mạnh, mẹ tớ thì việc gì cũng giải quyết được. Anh cả là vận động viên đấm bốc, chị hai múa rất đẹp, anh ba vẽ rất giỏi, ai trong gia đình tớ cũng vĩ đại cả. Bí quyết gì để một gia đình ồn ào có thể hòa thuận với nhau "một cách vĩ đại" nhỉ? Đây là cuốn sách giúp ta suy nghĩ về ý nghĩa đích thực của gia đình.  

이 책에는 개성이 강한 가족이 등장합니다. 각자 지닌 능력이 대단합니다. 힘센 아빠, 무슨 일이든 척척 잘하는 엄마, 권투를 잘하는 큰형, 춤을 잘 추는 누나, 그림을 잘 그리는 작은형까지 저마다 위대한 가족들입니다. 하지만 가족들의 이런 위대한 점이 다른 가족들에게 불편을 주기도 합니다. 힘센 아빠는 코 고는 소리까지 힘이 세서 시끄럽고, 엄마는 잔소리까지 엄청 잘합니다. 무적의 권투 선수인 큰형은 가족들한테도 절대 지지 않고요, 우아한 춤을 추는 누나는 거대한 몸집 때문에 집이 들썩거리지요. 작은형은 온데 그림을 그려 집을 엉망진창으로 만들고요.

각자 위대한 가족들은 다른 가족들을 떼어 버리고 홀로 살기로 결정합니다. 서로 너무 달라 함께 지내기 힘들어서입니다. 하지만 혼자 지내는 생활은 그리 행복하지 않습니다. 위대함을 자랑할 대상이 없어 심심하고, 위대함을 귀찮아하는 가족이 없어 지루합니다.

그럴 때 아주 작은 일이 일어납니다. 홀로 남아 속이 답답한 막내가 방귀를 뀐 거예요. 가족들은 막내를 걱정하며 모여듭니다. 각자 따로따로 지내던 가족들이 막내의 방귀를 계기로 다시 웃고, 화해하고, 합치게 된 거지요. 

가족의 갈등을 푸는 데 뭔가 대단한 이벤트가 필요한 건 아닙니다. 가족 간에 쌓인 마음의 벽은 따뜻한 말 한마디, 진심 어린 행동 하나면, 눈 녹듯 녹아 허물어진답니다. 그게 가족이 지닌 위대한 힘이지요.

이제가족들은 자기가 위대한 건 그걸 인정하고 받아들여 주는 가족이 있기 때문이라는 걸 깨닫습니다. 다시 하나로 합친 가족은 더불어 살기로 합니다. 여전히 저마다의 위대함 때문에 불편하지만, 서로의 다름을 인정하고 배려할 때 진정으로 위대하다는 걸 깨달았기 때문입니다. 각자의 개성을 인정하고 존중해 주면서 함께 살아가는 가족에 대한 바람을 담고 있습니다.
