Million Dollar Kids, the beginning
Jangi was a star who had garnered great popularity by appearing on a variety show "Million Dollar Baby" that featured families of celebrities. But her mother died tragically in an accident, and now ten years have passed. Jangi was left with her father, while her older sister went to their grandparent's house, and the sisters lost touch with each other since.
After hearing the news that her younger sister, Jangi, had gone missing after murdering a classmate who had been producing pornography, Seoni visits her old house for the first time in ten years. Soon after, Seoni finds herself in shock when she discovers that Jangi has been living along without her father for more than 8 years.

As Seoni searches for her younger sister, she discovers some astonishing facts: her father hospitalized at a local mental institute, multiple CCTV cameras hidden within the house, a terror attack by a psycho who claims he loves Jangi, a strange old homeless man who claims he has been peeping on Jangi for a long time, the classmates of Jangi who forced her into pornography, the mysterious online user named Chita who claims to know the horrible truth about Jang.

Seoni discovers a fan site for her younger sister during her investigation. The shocking revelation is that not only has Jangi had a mother for the past eight years, she has had multiple mothers! These mothers are LAN moms who are in love with children who appear on TV, who only exist online. Young Jangi's fandom had led to the formation of LAN moms, and these LAN moms have started to go beyond online space and approach Jangi.

Lee Duon
(English) Lee was born in Seoul in 1985. She debuted with her first novel Sister in 2016, and in 2017, she won the grand prize of the Kyobo Story Contest for Burning Heart. In 2019, The child is no longer here (Original title: Sister) was published in Japan.
