Susaeng, the girl in love

Sujingung Palace is known for a ghost that grants people wishes. Susaeng is a girl from a low-class family, and she is about to wish for a romantic relationship with the handsome prince, Neungchanggun. Once it gets dark, she places a piece of paper with her wish written on it in a jar, just as she has heard. Suddenly, the jar, which was empty, spews out fire, and she drops it. Later, Susaeng hears that prince Neungchanggun is getting married. This goes against her wish, and she blames the ghost of Sujingung.

Baekham, the frustrated ghost in the jar

Baekham, the ghost who doesn't remember how he died. Because Susaeng broke the jar, Baekham has awoken after 7 years. Because the jar is broken, Baekham has lost his energy. He can move with Susaeng, but can't do anything on his own. So he asks Susaeng whether she wants him to bother her forever or if they should try to help each other. Susaeng finds another similar looking jar, and when Baekham enters it, he gets his energy back. With this, Baekham decides to take full advantage of Susaeng.

The secret agreement between Susaeng and Baekham 

Susaeng said she would grant his wish once he showed her his ghostly powers. She asks that Neungchanggun's marriage be stopped. Baekham proclaims that her wish has been granted, but Susaeng does not believe him. She wanders around the prince's house looking for evidence that the marriage has been cancelled. When she encounters Neungchanggun, she assumes that Baekham has transformed into Neungchanggun and starts to ask questions about why he lied about the wedding. But it's the real prince, and he remembers Susaeng.

The secret of the jar

Baekham and Susaeng become close through their minor arguments. One day, Susaeng dresses up as a man and participates in an archery competition. Her reason is to get a closer look at Neungchanggun, and to grant Baekham's wish. There, she meets a man named Park Sanghyeop. He asks if she would like to sell her jar to him.

사랑에 빠진 소녀 수생 

귀신이 소원을 들어준다는 수진궁. 천민 출신 수생은 그곳에서 미남 대군 능창군과 인연이 생기게 해달라고 빌 참이다. 어두운 밤, 수생은 소문으로 들었던 방법대로 항아리 안에 염원을 담은 종이를 집어넣는다. 그런데 아무것도 없던 항아리에서 갑자기 불길이 일고, 이를 확인하려던 수생은 항아리를 떨어뜨린다. 얼마 후 수생의 소원에도 불구하고 능창군이 결혼한다는 소식을 듣게 되자 수생은 수진궁 귀신을 욕한다.

억울하게 죽은 항아리 귀신 백함 

자신이 어떻게 죽었는지 기억하지 못하는 귀신 백함. 수생이 항아리를 깬 덕분에 백함은 7년만에 깨어난다. 항아리가 깨지자 원기가 빠져나간 백함은 수생과 함께 움직이면 이동이 가능하지만 혼자서는 아무것도 할 수 없게 된다. 그는 수생에게 평생 따라다니며 괴롭힘을 당할지, 협정을 맺고 운명공동체가 될 것인지 묻는다. 수생이 비슷하게 생긴 항아리를 구해오고, 비로소 백함은 항아리에 들어가 원기를 빼앗기지 않을 수 있게 된다. 백함은 수생을 철저히 이용해야겠다고 결심한다.

수생과 백함의 은밀한 거래 

수생은 백함에게 귀신의 힘을 보여주면 그의 소원을 들어주겠다고 말한다. 능창군이 결혼하지 않게 해달라고 비는 수생. 백함은 곧바로 그녀의 소원이 이루어졌다고 하지만, 수생은 믿지 못한다. 혼례식이 취소되었는지 확인하기 위해 능창군의 집에서 서성거리는 수생. 수생은 능창군을 마주치자 백함이 이전처럼 능창군으로 변신했을 것이라고 생각하고 혼례를 가지고 왜 거짓약조를 하였느냐고 따진다. 그러나 그는 정말로 능창군이 었고, 능창군은 비로소 수생을 기억하게 된다.

도도한 항아리의 비밀 

투닥거리면서 점점 사이가 가까워지는 백함과 수생. 수생은 활쏘기 대회에 남장을 하고 참여한다. 능창군을 가까이서 보고, 백함의 소원을 들어 주기 위함이다. 그리고 그곳에서 만난 박상협이라는 사내. 그는 수생에게 항아리를 팔지 않겠느냐고 제안한다.
