This picture book is about the meeting and friendship between the main character, Dahye, and a mountain, "Poroutua."

Book Intro

Finding Poroutua is a picture book about the first encounter and later friendship between Dahye and the mountain "Poroutua." Poroutua is just a regular mountain, but when Dahye gives it a name, it is reborn as a special being. Its existence is a fantasy known to no one, but it gives Dahye comfort. In the same way, children can become friends with anything, including duvets, dolls, toys, and with these friends they can endure difficult moments and learn how to navigate relationships with others.

About the Author

Lee DeokHwa



Lee Deok Hwa (M) loved the smell of grass, picking flowers, the warmth of the sun and the strange feelings the wind brings from his childhood. He wants to convey the warm and delicate feelings he received from nature into a picture book. He was selected as Illustrator of the Year at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in 2010. Books written and illustrated by Lee include 100 Moons and Baby Dinosaurs, and others.
