The Guy who Lost His Memories
Lee Suin, a police inspector, is an elite graduate from the National Police University. He is also the only person to know the true identity of the serial killer. The problem is, he was burned and lost his sight and memories while chasing the killer. That is why Lee needs the help of detective Han Jisu.
Analyzing the serial murders, Lee tries to get a clue about how he would have chased the killer before he lost his memories.
The Serial Killer's Consistent Message
Kim Hyeon, a profiler, joins a murder investigation team facing difficulty. Kim tries hard to prove that suspects actually committed the crimes they are accused of, but the law is always a barrier. Seeing so many suspects - who he believes are the real criminals - escaping punishment due to lack of evidence makes him desperate. The fact that the police and judiciary are not able to punish criminals makes him furious, and Kim decides to punish them on his own. He starts killing the suspects, who were acquitted and released, using the same methods they used to commit their own crimes.
Revealed Truth
Oh Daeyeong, the Chief of the Crime Department, teams detective Han up with inspector Lee to take the serial killer, Kim Hyeon, to the court. However, three on-site inspections with Han and the attitude of people makes Lee infer that he and the serial killer Kim are one and the same. As Lee inspects the sites of crimes he committed, he thinks he will be sentenced to death and he feels rather calm.
The Real Copycat
The hidden role of Han Jisu was to help Lee regain his lost memories and make him aware of the real serial killer. As directed by Oh, she deceives Lee Suin and tries to bring him to court. However, as Lee gains his lost memories, he starts to wonder if he's at the crime site to save an arson suspect. Then, Han and Lee start chasing the real copycat.

Thanh tra Lee Soo-in đang được điều trị tại bệnh viện sau khi bị mất trí nhớ và thị giác trong quá trình truy đuổi một kẻ bắt chước(copycat), kẻ giết người hàng loạt là tội phạm bắt chước. Trung sĩ Han Ji-soo của đội pháp y đã trở thành đối tượng điều tra khi dồn một nghi phạm giết người đến tự sát. Trung sĩ Han Ji-soo đến gặp Thanh tra Lee Soo-in để tìm bằng chứng rằng nghi phạm giết người đã bị sát hại chứ không phải tự sát. Nhìn người thanh tra bị mất thị lực và trí nhớ có thể thất vọng giây lát, nhưng những dự đoán của anh ta về cuộc điều tra thực sự đáng kinh ngạc. Lee Jongkwan
(English) Lee Jong-Gwan graduated from the Graduate School of Creative Writing at Kookmin University. Lee received awards at the New Play Festival of the National Theater Company of Korea and the EBS Radio Literature Award. He also worked as a chief editor for a crime investigation magazine for 15 years. Long before terms such as scientific investigation and CSI became familiar to the public in Korea, Lee assisted detectives specializing in scientific investigations, thereby contributing to widening the scope of scientific investigation into trace evidence and profiling. He was awarded the Korean Magazine Journalist Award for enhancing the awareness of scientific investigations.
In 2019, Lee signed a deal to adapt his work Spot Inspection into a movie. Spot Inspection was praised as “a work that elaborately and vividly visualizes inspection scenes” and as “an extraordinary mystery masterpiece,” and has been introduced in France, Taiwan, and Indonesia. The work earned attention when it was nominated for the 2022 Le Prix des Nouvelles Voix du Polar Pocket.
(Chinese) 毕业于国民大学文艺创作研究生院，入选国立剧团新作喜剧庆典、EBS广播文化奖，作为犯罪侦查杂志主编工作了15年。从韩国国内流行“科学侦查”、“CSI”之前，就帮助科学侦查专业侦查员们把科学侦查的领域扩展到了微细证物、犯罪剖绘等领域。凭借对科学侦查认识的促进，荣获韩国杂志舆论奖。
2019年，以《现场鉴定》与大型制作公司签订了电影拍摄的版权。《现场鉴定》是“将侦查现场细致重现的作品”，是“韩国国内不多见的悬疑佳作”，被翻译介绍到法国、台湾及印度尼西亚。尤其是在法国，该作品入围2022 Le Prix des Nouvelles Voix du Polar Pocket ，获得瞩目。

Trước khi các cụm từ “điều tra khoa học”, “CSI” trở nên thịnh hành, tác giả đã cùng với các chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực điều tra khoa học được biết đến rộng rãi qua các tác phẩm như “Vật chứng nhỏ”, “Phân tích vết máu”, “Hồ sơ”. Tác giả có đóng góp lớn trong việc nhận thức điều tra khoa học và nhận giải thưởng “Ngôn luận tạp chí Hàn Quốc”. Năm 2019 xuất bản tiểu thuyết trinh thám “Điều tra hiện trường”.
