I Love Animals is the third book of the Nice to Meet You Nature series, the picture book series that helps children become friends with nature. It introduces animals that have different sizes, appearances and habitats but are familiar, including animals we live together with like dogs, cats, ducks and pigs, as well as wild animals like lions, giraffes, elephants and zebras.
Flip the first page and a big box is delivered. From the bottom of the box, a tail of an unknown animal sticks out. A girl enjoying her candy carelessly steps on the tail. As though the tail was a switch to open the box, a variety of animals rush out and the story begins.
From a large elephant, a tall giraffe, an eagle with majestic wings, and monkeys to a snake with a cool tail, the familiar animals are introduced using meaningful but easy-to-understand words. The big but sleek body of the elephant, the big fur of the lion and sheep that looks like it could blow away anytime soon. The detailed descriptions of animals also help children to identify each one.
The book also well depicts how animals are threatened by development with a single drawing. Through it, children will learn that animals are companions we must live together with in this world and that we are the ones who must protect them.

MIJA CHO
(English) Cho Mija studied painting for her BA at Hongik University, Seoul. She cuirrently lives in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, and continues to draw illustrations for picture books. Cho always tries to use pure colors and funny lines so that her illustrations feel familiar to children. She started with her first book One Day at a Park in 2000, and since then has published sixteen creative picture books. She wrote One Day at a Park, Climbing with Spider’s Web, Bubble Bubble Pop Pop, I Will Sleep In My Room, Not My Pee!, The Worry Box, Meet My Friend, Anxiety, Sometimes I, Tire World, Our Last Summer, and more.

(Japanese) 絵: 弘益大学で絵画を学び、現在は子供向けの本の絵を描いています。「イカ（Squid）」など多くの絵本の絵を担当し、「心配箱（Worry Box）」、「僕がおしっこしたんじゃない！（Not My Pee!）」などを作りました。
(Vietnamese) Tác giả Jo Mi-ja (tranh) từng học chuyên ngành Hội họa tại trường đại học Hongik và hiện đang theo đuổi công việc vẽ tranh cho truyện thiếu nhi. Tác giả đã vẽ tranh cho nhiều truyện thiếu nhi khác như “Chú mực ống nhỏ”, “Mình ra sân chơi nhé”, v.v, ngoài ra cô cũng là tác giả viết truyện kiêm vẽ tranh của các tác phẩm như “B là Bóng đá”, “Mình thích bông hoa”, v.v.
(French) L’auteure a étudié la peinture à l’Université Hongik et actuellement, elle fait des illustrations des livres pour les enfants. Elle a participé à l’illustration des livres tels que « Petit Poulpe », « Boîte d’inquiétudes » et « Ce n’est pas mon pipi ! ».
