Overview

This book brings back memories of comic book stores where people gathered and talked together.

Book Intro

The author wrote this book based on her own experiences. The book depicts a boy who likes reading stories and how he has grown up pursuing his dream. The nostalgic illustrations and detailed descriptions allow readers to recall their own childhoods. In the back of the book, some useful information about comic books and cartoon art museum is provided.

In the story, a boy finds a new comic book store that has recently opened in his neighborhood. He is excited to read stories that he hasn't been able to hear even from his grandmother, who is an excellent storyteller. After spending 20 won at the comic book store out of 30 won his mother gave to cut his hair, he ends up having his hair shaved off while sitting crying at a barbershop. Readers who were as mischievous as this boy will be able to sympathize with the story.
