Babies older than 18 months imitate their mothers while playing with dolls. They follow and do the same things their mothers do.
Hold It Tight depicts the scenes in which a little girl takes a walk with her mother and her favorite doll in a realistic and adorable way. While walking, she takes care of her doll, mimicking the way her mother talks and acts. Holding her doll in one hand, she gives her mother some gifts. At the end of the story, readers come to realize that the girl's mother has always been beside her and feel a sense of relief. The way the girl and her mother warmly care about each other also gives comfort to readers.
In the first scene, the girl says "Hold my hand tight!" But in the last scene, she says "Everyone, hold each other's hands", which shows a significant change. The girl grows up by taking care of her doll and taking a walk with her loved ones.
The title of this book means not only to hold something tight but also to hold each other's hands and not let go of them. This is what makes the book more lovable.
