This book is a story about a black chameleon.

Chameleons change colors to match their surroundings. A chameleon on a tree would change its color into that of a twig or a leaf. In a flower garden, it would change into the colors of the flowers. Chameleons use camouflage to hide from predators and catch prey. But what if a chameleon cannot change color? What if it is black like the color of the night sky?
This black chameleon does not change color. Running about in the forest or strolling among flowers, the chameleon remains black. The other chameleons find it very strange. "How come he doesn't change color?" "Maybe he'll change when he grows up". "He will look better as time goes by". They each make a guess. While other chameleons look at him suspiciously, the black chameleon just smiles. When everyone else is asleep, he looks up at the sky and whispers, "I am a black chameleon and I like myself."
People who look different easily attract attention. An unusual behavior, manner of speech or physical feature draws attention everywhere. Some people look on with understanding and sympathy, but some people express discomfort. Many people still view difference as wrong or weird. Therefore, it takes a great deal of courage to live in an unusual state.
In front of his friends who flaunt their beautiful colors, the black chameleon doesn't cower or complain. Instead, he smiles good-naturedly. He is the color of the night sky that contains bright stars. Most of all, he loves himself!

(English) She majored in Korean literature in the university and design in the graduate school. Afterwards, She worked at Korea Froebel Art Department. She continues to study picture books because she likes them, and her dream is to create good picture books that warm people’s hearts. She wrote and illustrated 《Meet Friends in the Winter Forest》, 《If I Changed, If I Changed》, 《Pressing Hard》, 《A Black Chameleon》, 《A Monster Appeared in My Room》, etc.
(Russian) Изучал корейскую литературу в университете и дизайн в аспирантуре. Любит книжки с картинками, продолжает обучение и мечтает создавать добрые книжки с картинками, которые согревают сердца людей. Одна из книг, написанных и нарисованных автором - “Знакомство с друзьями Зимнего леса”.
(Vietnamese) Tác giả đã học văn học Hàn Quốc ở trường đại học và thiết kế ở trường cao học. Đã từng làm việc tại Cục Nghệ thuật Froebel Hàn Quốc. Tác giả yêu sách tranh, vì vậy vẫn đang nghiên cứu về sách tranh.
