Overview

This is a story that talks about an important topic: respecting uniqueness.

Book Intro

When Daro the chipmunk invites Jikong the mouse to eat a mushroom together in celebration of spring, Jikong gets nervous. The mouse tries to hide his unbalanced eating habits, but considerate Daro gives him an acorn cake that was baked just for Jikong.

Meanwhile, once autumn arrives, Daro, who is considerate and serious, begins to prepare himself for winter. Neighbors in town make fun of Daro, who is always busy saying that he cannot enjoy autumn at all, but Jiking understands that Daro has his own jolly times. The two friends likely both have their own flaws in the eyes of others, however they are the ones who truly understand each other. This story of a timid mouse and concerned chipmunk caring for each other and changing their flaws into uniqueness will be moving to readers.
