Overview

This book tells the story of two sisters on their 140-kilometer journey from Busan to Hapcheon.

Book Intro

Walking to Grandma's House tells the story of two sisters, Yui and Ioh, on their long journey to visit their grandmother. This thrilling tale draws readers in and holds their attention until the end. On one hot summer day, Yui, a middle school student, and her sister Ioh, an elementary school student, hit the road for a long journey. They set off to their grandmother's house, which is a six-day walk away.

It would be no cakewalk, however. The scorching sun made it hard to breathe, and the heavy rainstorms stopped them dead in their tracks. The cars whizzed past, and the sounds of wild animals had them shaking in their boots. Still, Yui and Ioh trekked on. Will they be able to safely reach their grandmother's house?
