Grandfather and grandmother lived in a small town with a train station. They were always friendly, holding hands tightly, having small conversations with each other and laughing. The warm-hearted grandfather was the husband and only friend to the shy grandmother. Then one day, they find out that the grandfather has terminal lung cancer and passes away leaving the grandmother. Left alone, the grandmother gradually loses her memories and ability to speak due to the sense of loss of her precious person. She only misses Grandpa and starts draw-ing circles.
Through the traditional Korean candy, Okchun-dang, which is the prettiest candy put on the ancetral rite table, a granddaughter remembers the love of a grand-father and grandmother who can no longer meet. The story at first is sweet like the colorful round Okchun-dang candy but as the story develops it also contains a beautiful and heartbreaking love that will bring tears to the eyes of readers.
