This is the first book of poetry by Jeong Han-a, a member of a literary coterie of post-futurist poets having traits of both futurists and lyricists.
Jeong portrays the beginning of a family and the process of dismantling it, from forming a family to separating and destroying a household. When the words such as purity, innocence, youth, passion, ideals, and revolutionary beliefs she held dear in her college days all but disappear, Jeong contemplates how to begin living again, standing atop a pile of ruins. She declares that the things we held close weren't love at all and asks what kind of love we need at this very moment.
This book features works such as Metasequoia, My First Love Went to See the Pyramids, and A World Without Crusoe.

Jung Hanah
Jung Hanah was born in Seoul in 1982. She has received a number of awards including the 4th Daesan Collegiate Novel Award, the 12th Munhakdongne Author Award, and the 2016 Kim Yongik Novel Literary Award. Books written by Jung Hanah include novels such as Sea of the Moon and Little Chicago and story collections including Laughing for Myself and Ani.
