We Love Ambience, the 38th volume in the Munhakdongne Poetry Collection series, presents a new paradigm in Korean poetry. It is the second book of poetry by poet Oh Eun, who began her career with Modern Poetry in the spring of 2002. This book consists of 58 poems full of distinctive black humor and criticisms of society and civilization.
Included are works such as Cover Story, Sauna, To Understand People of Culture, The Era of Consumption, Suspicious, and Stray Thoughts About the Chequered Blue Butterfly, all of which make use of homophony, assonance, and anastrophism in fresh, rhythmic prose. Readers will be able to get a glimpse of Oh's own unique world of poetry through various poems that demonstrate his unusual grasp of the Korean language.
