Overview

This is a fantasy story for children that connects the real lives of children with their inner world.

Book Intro

What if we are offered a deal through which we are given ten minutes to spend by ourselves in return for selling a happy memory once a day? Yuna, who is always pressed for time, accepts this deal offered by an old man without any hesitation and receives a special watch. For ten minutes, the entire world stops, and Yuna is free. She spends those ten minutes solely in taking 1st place in class. While time is stopped, she copies the answers and beats Suyeong, her rival, and enjoys being #1. As her test results improve, her Mom becomes happier with a larger smile. Yuna feels uncomfortable, but she cannot resist the temptation of the transaction she has started.

Time Shop is a story that prioritizes the fun of fantasy yet is based on reality. Yuna, the main character who is always pressed for time while studying what she does not really want to study, comes across a time shop and cuts a deal involving selling her memories and buying time. Afterwards, a crack starts to appear in the ordinary daily life of this child, who is fixed without any spare time.

A number of children and parents today are preoccupied only with getting into college by closing their ears, even though they feel anxious that something is going wrong. The writer's quiet message to them that they too are able to live as their true selves by living for today will gradually appeal to readers as they follow along with the steps of Yuna. By the time readers close the book, the message will ring true with significance and make readers reflect on themselves.
