(English) Minky's Beauty Salon
After Dami makes fun of the shaved-bald Minky, Minky decides to take revenge and give her a taste of her own medicine. Then, one day, Dami is carried away in an ambulance and does not come back. Strangely, Minky can’t get her off her mind. After a while, Dami returns, and Minky bides her time for vengeance. But looking at Dami, bald and low-spirited, Minky doesn’t feel at ease. One night, Minky makes a gift and gives it to Dami.
Minky's gift contains forgiveness, reconciliation, and consideration instead of hatred. The story tells us that we do not need to point out someone’s mistake or seek revenge; instead, we can grow up by controlling our minds. Our minds become strong when we don’t ignore someone’s pain, although it is someone I hate.
Everyone goes through pain. The author hopes that Minky’s Beauty Salon will be able to provide comfort, laughter, and strength for children whose bodies or minds need healing.
