(English) Korean Language-culture: Essential Key to Korean Language Learning
Language is the vessel for containing culture, the garment of culture, and the mirror that reflects culture. There are many books containing culture. However, if the content of culture and education is selected from the viewpoint of teaching, learners who come from other cultures become lost in front of one’s very eyes in an instant. What do Korean people call each other? What are the lifestyles and viewpoints of Koreans shown by proverbs? Can you read Koreans’ stereotypes in expressions unique to Korea and find the inner truth in emotional expression? How can you express the state of perceiving the senses of sight, taste, and touch vividly like Koreans? Through Korean expressions learners are curious about, this book aims to relate to the thoughts and lifestyle of Koreans.
