After the author graduated from Korea University in the Department of French Literature and a master's degree in a graduate school of political science from the same school and another master's degree in technology management from the New York State University, and then completed a Ph.D. in international commerce at the Graduate School of International Studies at Korea University. In 1992, as a visiting researcher at the Reuters Foundation in England, the author has studied international politics and the European Union at the University of Bordeaux and Institutes of Political Studies, France.
(French) Diplômée de l'Université de Corée en littérature française, elle obtient son master en sciences et technologies de la gestion à l'Université d'État de New York. Ainsi, elle a fait ses études doctorales à Korea University Graduate School of International Studies. En 1992, elle a étudié la politique internationale et l'Union européenne à l'Université de Bordeaux et à Science Po bordeaux en France, en tant que chercheuse invitée à la Fondation Reuters d’Angleterre.
