Tok! One acorn falls from a white oak. Leaves on the ground embrace the acorn with a warm hug. The fallen leaves protect the acorn and hide it from the humans and other animals, with hopes that the acorn would survive to create new relationships with themselves. The leaves rot away with the change of the seasons, and the acorn is left alone, even feeling scared at times. As the rotten leaves become absorbed into the ground, the acorn goes through the pain of having its body ripped apart, finally being reborn as a young white oak tree.
Through the story of the relationship between the acorn and the fallen leaves, this book reveals the enormous circle of nature in which life perishes and then becomes reborn, showing children the importance of relationships, communication, and life.
