Ggugo the whale, who lives on land, is always getting teased by his friends because there is nothing that he can do well. One day, Ggugo hears about the story of the ocean. Ggugo begins yearning for the ocean and decides that he will go there.
Ggugo finally embarks on a long journey. After days of walking, Ggugo arrives at the ocean and musters up the courage to jump into the water. Now, he is swimming somewhere underwater with his friends.
Every child in this world has endless potential, just as Ggugo does. Tapping into your full potential requires finding one’s own ocean to swim in. It is not easy to find one’s own ocean, but the process itself allows children to grow. When children are able to find their own ocean and overcome their fear of the unknown, they can become the most beautiful and fabulous beings.

Lee Bumjae
(English) ary office worker. But he became so interested in picture books while reading them to his children that he became a picture book writer. He tells stories about something he wants children to keep in mind and draws pictures. Some of his works include ‘Sound monster’, ‘Who is it?’, ‘The good king left alone’, and ‘Dreaming’
(Japanese) 二児の父親で普通の会社員でしたが、子供たちに絵本を読んでいくうちにその魅力にハマり絵本作家になりました。この本は、子供たちが自分自身を愛し、自分がやりたいことをやり、幸せな人生を生きてほしいという思いで作りました。作品に『音怪物』、『誰だ？』、『一人残った優しい王』、『クゴ』があります。
