Choi Hyuckgon’s Two Men's Night as Detectives follows the perspectives of a former local news reporter who quits his job after being shocked when his girlfriend is murdered and a detective who gets fired due to a scandal with a suspect. Each of them represents a type of person who struggles between reality and ideals, and each is a complete snob. These two characters present an array of social issues that readers can easily understand and sympathize with. Each of the stories included in the collection deals with different episodes with distinctive characters, but they all raise one question: "Who is the criminal who killed the ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend of the protagonist?"
Though each episode seems to have no connection to each other, they eventually lead to one case, which gives readers a thrilling experience.
