Overview

A story about joy of doing things together. This book helps kids learn the importance and joy of doing things together.

Book Intro

(English) There is a short piece of a string which you cannot do anything with. But once you and your friends find more of them and tie them into a longer piece, you can do many things with the string. This book teaches kid how cooperation and collective problem-solving can make things better. A mouse finds a short piece of red string. He tries to jump rope with it. But the string is too short to do jump rope. ""Ugh, it is a bit short."" The mouse is disappointed. Soon, a duck appears pulling a toy cart. The mouse and the duck connect the red string with another string in the toy cart and try to jump rope with the string again. It is still too short. Then, a monkey adds his yoyo string to make the rope longer. Other animal friends add various strings of their own to make the rope still longer, shouting, ""Tie it together, tie it together! Make the string longer!"" The rope is getting longer and longer. The animal friends happily play jump rope together. After jump rope, they eat watermelon together.

What should I do with this?

Oh, jump roping would be fun!

Oh. It’s too short.

Come on, come on! Let’s play together!

I wish the string was a bit longer...

Oh, that’s a bit short...

It’s alright, it’s alright!

There’s always a way!

It’s done!

Is everyone ready?

Woo-hoo! Yipee! Whoa!

Huh?

Look, it’s a watermelon!
