Overview

The story of the author who is comforted by the stray cat she takes in.

Book Intro

(English) Life is not the only thing full of the unexpected!

A collection of essays and illustrations about the life of Yangsoon, a cat that goes from being a stray to becoming a house cat.

There’s a saying that if you want to live with someone else, they have to have the same personality. That’s because people with similar personalities, tastes in food and habits, understand each other better. On the other hand, some argue that you benefit from people with different personalities because you can complement and help each other. Perhaps what matters is that we accept and embrace both similarities and differences. Yet this doesn’t apply to human relationships, as evidenced in the relationship between Seeds of Spring and Yangsoon.

Previously, Yangsoon was an anonymous stray cat. Then the author takes her in and turns her into a house cat. Having lived on the streets for three years, she still retains some of the habits of a stray. And yet, Seeds of Spring has never raised an animal before, let alone a cat. She has never even heard of a cat scratcher!

It was by fate rather than chance that they ended up living together. For Seeds of Spring, who is scared of insects, Yangsoon catches every bug she sees. Seeds of Spring’s heart aches for Yangsoon’s wounded leg. Life may bring worries and troubles, and the future remains uncertain, but they have each other.

About the Author

Seed of Spring

(English) Having had no animal friends before, the author took in a stray cat one day and named her Yangsoon. The two then became a family. Life is full of the unexpected! Around the same time, the author quit her full-time job to become an illustrator. She continues her endeavors as a cat lover and illustrator, believing that all her hard work will pay off one day.
