Overview

During summer vacation at my grandma's house, I met a monster that I couldn't even imagine!

Book Intro

Jangu went to grandmother's's house in the countryside with his younger brother, Seonu. It had been three years since their last visit. For Jangu, who liked VR games, grandma's house was a boring and tedious place. Although his grandmother took very good care of them when Seonu and Jangu were younger and their mother was always busy, Jangu was just unhappy that he couldn't play the games he liked.

From the moment Seonu and Jangu arrived at their grandmother's house, all of their expectations were blown away. Grandma didn't come to the train station to pick them up because her legs were aching. They were no longer her top priorities. She only gave them steamed potatoes or  boiled barley for meals. Seonu and Jangu didn't want to go to the toilet because it was way too dirty. On top of that, grandma said she caught all the mice in the house, but Jangu kept seeing the horrible rodents and it made him furious. The biggest problem was that grandma had become somewhat unfamiliar and cold. Jangu couldn't complain or ask her for help.

Her weird words and behavior made him nervous. She told him not to go outside at night because he might encounter mountain animals. She said her dog and cat left home together one day. She didn't stop Seonu when he tried to climb a tree. Jangu even found her cat's leash and some bones, which made him extremely afraid and confused. What could be more scary and fearful than a person who's always on my side, who always loved me, suddenly becoming so unfamiliar? For Jangu, she was the person who loved him even more than his mom. They were so close that he thought those three years when they couldn't see each other wouldn't affect their relationship at all. As soon as Jangu started to think that his grandmother might hurt him, he ran away from the house.

Then he started thinking that she may have a serious disease like dementia. So he came back to her house in the middle of the night, despite her warning that he should stay inside at night because of the dangerous mountain animals…! Will it be possible for Jangu to stay safe during this summer vacation?
