A baby is living in a very small island, where he can jump forward only three times. One day, all of a sudden, he feels like he can take one more step ahead. As soon as he jumps, he falls into glittering sea water. From now on, everyday will be a new experience, even for his parents who are just looking at a small dot on a sonogram.
When his mom wakes up early in the morning and eats a vanilla ice cream, the baby meets an ice cream whale and doesn't know what to do. When his parents sing to their baby, he dances to music coming from somewhere he can't see. Hi, Mom? Hi, My Baby? features a unique structure: if you start reading from the front cover, you can read the baby's story first, but if you start reading from the back cover, you'll find mom's story first. The scene where mom and her baby meet after a long wait is the most touching part of the book. The baby's story with its wonderful imagination and the mom's story with its familiar episodes come together to make one big story.
