Overview

This is a picture book about waiting for a child to grow.

Book Intro

One day in a forest, a baby fox is born. Mama fox and daddy fox have been waiting for their baby for a long time, so they took care of it with love. But, when the baby, Cho reaches the age when babies usually start to speak, it doesn't, making mama fox and daddy fox anxious. Even with the help of friends around the forest, Cho still does not speak, and the anxiety of mama fox and daddy fox continues to grow. Then one day, Cho disappears. Mama fox and daddy fox, along with the animals of the forest, search for Cho, but Cho is nowhere to be found. Where did Cho go? Will mama fox, daddy fox and the animals of the forest be able to find Cho?

When a child is born, parents follow the child's growth with high hopes. But sometimes, the affection and dedication of the parents turn into anxiety. This anxiety is the main theme of the book. While this anxiety is sometimes excessive, parents have a tendency to believe that it is over the future of their children, not for themselves. However, this expectation disguised as affection, and the anxiety caused by a child failing to meet this expectation, can sometimes become a heavy burden for the child.

A parent could never breathe for a child just because they thought it too difficult. Waiting, supporting and showing affection for a child as he/she adjusts to society on his/her own is also a form of love. This book is about the love of parents waiting for their child to grow and learn on his/her won. It was selected as the Outstanding Publication Contents Production Support Project in 2014.
