- Book Intro
-
Yang Heoseong, one of the victims of the 2009 Yongsan Disaster, had been living with his dog Bangsil as though she was his daughter. After his death, Bangsil refused to eat because her owner and father did not return home. Other family members tried to feed her, but she wouldn't take anything and just waited for Yang. Bangsil waited at the door for 24 days straight. Then she died as if to follow him. The book mourns over the death of Bangsil that refused to eat and died, longing for her father who had passed away during one of South Korea's painful, heart-wrenching disasters.
