This book is about the magic scissors owned by Geon who is the king of tardiness.

Geon's magic scissors can cut anything. They can cut the alarm clock that wakes him up every morning, the math class that makes his head spin, the desk, and chair that bind him at school, and the door to his classroom. Each time Geon uses his scissors, the school changes a little. It transforms into a playground where children can run around.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the school could become a rest place for children who struggle each day with the fierce competition? Couldn't the school become a place for them to interact with their friends, have fun running around and grow in body and mind, rather than somewhere they drag themselves to for studying? The word school normally conjures up images of children sitting quietly at their desks and listening to their teacher or participating in group activities. However, the school in The Magic Scissors is rather different. It's a place where you can have fun and laugh together. It may be different from reality, but this delightful imagination leaves us with a lighter heart. The Magic Scissors offers consolation to children. Readers cannot help smiling as they turn the pages and follow the story. Children like Geon who do not enjoy school will find deep sympathy and consolation in this story.
