The Incorrectly Chosen Class President is the coming-of-age story of an obese boy who rarely succeeds in anything going through a great deal of trouble by accidentally being selected as class president. Lee Roun, the main character, is dissatisfied with everything from his disabled older sister, friends, teachers who dislike him, and his mother who always favors his older sister.
As the second semester starts, Lee suddenly gets upset by seeing girls avoiding sitting beside him, and he decides to run in the election for class president. By various threats and conciliations, he is eventually elected class president.
This is a children's story that informs kids how pleasant it is to become a person who is needed by others through the story of the main character who comes to be a truly helpful child. The story also gives children the opportunity to think over what the roles of a leader are and what qualifications a leader must have. By a rapid development with ordinary episodes at school, this book helps readers become immersed in the story. This is a children's story that leads children to grow into exemplary leaders with proper ways of thinking.

Lee Eunjae
Lee Eunjae graduated from the Department of Creative Writing at Chugye University of Arts. She started her literary career by winning a prize in the Full-Length Story category at the MBC Creative Fairy Tale Awards. In 2016, she was selected as one of the Top 10 Fairy Tale Writers Representing Korea. Lee has written a number of books such as the Wrong series, including The Incorrectly Chosen Class President (included in certain elementary school Korean language textbooks), I’m Not Made of Sugar, and The Worst Child in the Whole School.
